In the heart of Beach Haven lies a local treasure, The Magnolia House, one of the oldest original guest houses on all of Long Beach Island.  Located in the historic district of Beach Haven.   The Magnolia House Bed & Breakfast Inn offers both the convenience of Centre Street and the charm of Gothic revival Victorian architecture.

Whether you’re our  guest for just one night or are joining us for the whole week, our family-run Beach Haven Bed and Breakfast will make you feel right at home.  We can think of no better spot on the island than our wrap-around verandah to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, sip a cool iced-tea after a day at the beach, or watch the sun set over a glass of wine.

Breakfast is a special time at the Inn.  Wake up and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of our elegantly appointed formal dining room, savor the aromas and flavors of a full gourmet breakfast, and contemplate the pleasures of your day ahead.  Good conversation and tips on how to spend time in the area are shared over platefuls of cinnamon buns, a house specialty.  We also invite you to join us for tea in the late afternoon savor over a piece of Peach Blueberry Crisp, Fresh Berry Tarts or homemade breads, a lovely way to enjoy our mellow setting and comfortable porch.

Romantic Rooms

From our deluxe rooftop suite to our cozy “friends” rooms with two single beds, our twelve exquisitely decorated bedrooms offer a quiet reminiscence of a more elegant time.   Slip on one of our plush robes, curl up with that book you’ve been meaning to read, or select one from the library off the parlor, and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the Atlantic Ocean just a block away.  All of our rooms boast period antiques and art, private modem bathrooms, plush bathrobes, shower toiletries, central air conditioning, hair dryers, T.V.s and WiFi.

Leave Everything to Us

Leave behind televisions, radios, telephones and all of your worries. (We also request, for your peace of mind and that of our guest, to check-in small children and pets at grandma’s place before you arrive.)  For your convenience, the Inn is fully air-conditioned.  Beach badges are available for your use, as are large umbrellas, beach chairs and towels.  We’ll provide a cooler with refreshing drinks and a light snack for you to enjoy while on the beach.  In keeping with shore etiquette, we have a spacious outdoor shower with fresh towels, and a gazebo for relaxing after the beach.  If you’ve had enough sun, grab one of our bicycles and tour the neighborhood’s many attractions.  In accordance with safety regulations, smoking at the Magnolia House is strictly forbidden.

Come Early, Stay Late

If you arrive before check-in time, park in our private lot and we’ll help you find your way to our spacious outdoor changing area. 

After checkout, if you plan to stay on the island for the day, we encourage you to make use of our outdoor shower and everything you need for a day at the beach.

Tucked between Beach Haven’s tranquil beach and its lively Bay Village where you’ll find miniature golf, a waterslide, ice cream, movies, skee-ball, a Ferris Wheel, funnel cake, and many of the other carefree pleasures that make up a true Jersey Shore experience, the Magnolia House could not be better located on Long Beach Island, New Jersey.

Many of our guests appreciate the ease of parking their car and forgetting about the day for the entire stay, though should you want to wander up or down the island, nothing is more than a few miles away.
