     In the heart of the historic district lies a local treasure, The Magnolia House, one of the oldest original guest houses on the New Jersey Shore. 

The convience of Centre Street, moments from pristine, white sand beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, steps from some of the best Island dining, bars, theatre, amusements and ice cream, we offers the perfect shore break.

Whether you’re our  guest for just one night or are joining us for the whole week, our family-run Long Beach Island Bed and Breakfast will make you feel right at home.  We can think of no better spot on the island than our wrap-around verandah to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, sip a cool iced-tea after a day at the beach, or watch the sun set over a glass of wine.

Breakfast is a special time at the Inn.  Wake up and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of our elegantly appointed dining room or charming outside porch, savor the aromas and flavors of a full served gourmet breakfast, and contemplate the pleasures of your day ahead.  Good conversation and tips on how to spend time in the area are shared over platefuls of Tonys' delicious Scones, a house specialty.  We also invite you to join us for tea in the late afternoon.  Savor a homemade bread, apple crisp, delicious cookie, watermellon, granita it varies every day and is made for your enjoyment by Cheryl.  At tea we also provide refreshing homemade iced tea and/or fresh squeezed lemonade.   Sitting for tea is a lovely way to enjoy our mellow setting and comfortable porch.                     Parlor will be all new.  New Picture comming soon.

Romantic Rooms

From our deluxe rooftop suite to our cozy “friends” rooms with two single beds, our twelve exquisitely decorated bedrooms offer a quiet reminiscence of a more elegant time.   Curl up in our mature back yard, in one of our lounge chairs with that book you’ve been meaning to read, or select one from the library off the parlor, and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the Atlantic Ocean just under two blocks away.  All of our rooms boast period antiques and art, private modem bathrooms, shower toiletries, central air conditioning, ceiling fans, hair dryers, T.V.s and central WiFi is available in most rooms. (always in the dining room, parlor, bay side porch.)

Leave Everything to Us

Leave behind all of your worries. (We also request, for your peace of mind and that of our guest, to check-in small children and pets at grandma’s place before you arrive.)  For your convenience, the Inn is fully air-conditioned.  Beach badges are available for your use, (a $20 per person refundable deposit is required.) as are large umbrellas, beach chairs and towels.  We even provide a cooler with bottled water and a light snack for you to enjoy while on the beach.  In keeping with shore etiquette, we have a spacious outdoor shower with fresh towels, and a gazebo for relaxing after the beach.  If you’ve had enough sun, grab one of our bicycles and tour the neighborhood’s many attractions.  In accordance with safety regulations, smoking at the Magnolia House is strictly forbidden.

Come Early, Stay Late, Parking

If you arrive before check-in time, park on the street and we’ll help you find your way to our spacious outdoor changing area. 

After checkout, if you plan to stay on the island for the day, we encourage you to make use of our outdoor shower and everything (except badges) you need for a day at the beach. (Daily badges are available for purchase at the Centre St. beach entrance.)

Parking is free and on street.  Many of our guests prefer to leave their car in one spot their entire stay since so much is within walking distance.

Perfectly Located

Between the Magnolia House and the lively Bay Village where you’ll find miniature golf, a waterslide, shopping, skee-ball, a Ferris Wheel, funnel cake, and many of the other carefree pleasures that make up a true Long Beach Island New Jersey experience.
